Lose It


Hello Saturday.
Weight 206 lbs.
So a good day whenever you drop a couple more lbs.This puts me at 70 lbs lost.The last time I was this light was probably high school.Had my workout last night after work as the weekend is busy.
My calories were good and I felt strong at the gym.So that makes this a good weekend already.

Chasing it down

I will try to do this regularly and keep on topic.Today was a workout day.Shoulder,Biceps and Triceps.Went well except I still have some sinus congestion.But I survived.I have averaged a pound a week so far this month so that's decent.

Portions for foxes.

Okay.Admittedly this has nothing to do with foxes but it is the title of a really great song by Rilo Kiley.What I was going to say was that the big change came for me when I had hit a plateau and had stopped losing after 20 lbs or so.I was eating healthy but still not dropping much.Which is when I realized I needed to adjust my portions for what I needed not wanted.From then on everything changed.Plus I started eating small portions everything 2-3 hours instead of the big 3 meals.Since that change I went from 255 to 208.So that is a change I would recommend.Figuring that outmay take some research and time.I know a meat portion is supposed to be the size of your fist(Thank you, Nadeen Boman)but I just try to be realistic in choosing them.Also I think everyone should go listen to Portions for foxes by Rilo Kiley.Great song.

Weighted options

My weight loss started back in April although in reality it has been my whole adult life.I began working out and changing my diet in April.I used The Abs Diet (Men’s Health) as my guide.By June 15 I was down from 276 to 255.Which felt good.But then I was stuck there for a while.I realized my portions were out of whack and went with smaller portions but more often.That worked well.By September I had dropped down to 225.From there it was a steady progress until December when I hit 208.Which is where I am now.As well in June I switched to a regular bodybuilding workout where I split my workouts into body parts three days a week.I also recently signed up with myfitnesspal online which helps me track my calories.

First day of my life



The first post for me.Last April I decided to finally lose the weight.I started at 276 lbs.In December I hit 209 lbs.So a good year i would say.I plan on writing about my continuing pursuit of health and fitness.So here goes.
